Application of Spatial Clustering to DNDC Model
نویسنده
چکیده
The explosive global population growth and continuous resource depletion have posed a great challenge for decision makers to figure out a sustainable approach towards fine development. Spatial computing plays a key role in analyzing global trading network and flux of physical/energy flows in natural environment [1][2]. Collaborative efforts such as Food-EnergyWater Nexus [2][3] were established to unite practitioners and researchers from different fields in facing global challenges.

Regional simulation of long-term organic carbon stock changes in cropland soils using the DNDC model: 1. Large-scale model validation against a spatially explicit data set
Because of the large spatial and temporal variability of soil organic carbon (SOC) dynamics, a modelling approach is crucial in detailed regional analyses. Several estimates of regional scale SOC sequestration potential have been made using dynamic soil organic matter (SOM) models which have been linked to spatial databases contained within a Geographic Information System. In all these previous...
متن کاملA tool to link agricultural activity data with the DNDC model to estimate GHG emission factors in Canada
Research is ongoing to developways to reduce emissions of greenhouse gases (GHGs) fromagricultural sources. A convenient technique to estimate emissions is to develop emission factors for awide range of management practices. Default emission factors such as those given in the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change Tier I methodology are often used but these can result in substantial errors w...
متن کاملDNDC: A process-based model of greenhouse gas fluxes from agricultural soils
The high temporal and spatial variability of agricultural nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from soil makes their measurement at regional or national scales impractical. Accordingly, robust process-based models are needed. Several detailed biochemical process-basedmodels of N-gas emissions have been developed in recent years to provide site-specific and regional scale estimates of N2O emissions. Am...
متن کاملAssessing productivity and carbon sequestration capacity of Eucalyptus globulus plantations using the process model Forest-DNDC: Calibration and validation
The tree growth sub-module (PnET) of the mechanistic model Forest-DNDC was calibrated and validated for plantation grown Eucalyptus globulus. Forest-DNDC describes the biogeochemical cycles of C and N and can assist in estimating soil-borne greenhouse gas fluxes. For validation of the forest growth sub-module, data from commercial forest plantations in south-eastern Australia was used. Growth p...
متن کاملA global sensitivity analysis of DNDC model using a Bayesian based approach
This study was aimed at demonstrate the application of the Bayesian based global sensitivity analysis (GSA) approach to Denitrificatin and decomposition (DNDC) model using the tool of Gaussian emulation machine for sensitivity analysis (GEM-SA), in order to provide information on the relative effect of parameters on major model outputs. To execute the GSA study, twenty-eight input parameters we...
